Beautiful quality. They aren't kidding about the calf width though.
Like everything I bought from Fell & Fair, these boots look great and are well-made. I bought based on the formula women's size = men's size +2 (so bought a men's 5 to get a women's 7) and perhaps should have sized up half a size. They are giving with the break-in period and I think they will fit well once I've worn them for a while, but they were very snug when I first put them on. I'm not a particularly large person, and I checked on the max calf width to see if I needed the widening service. According to the chat, the widening would accommodate calves about 1 inch wider than mine. In real life even with the widening it is a challenge to zip them over my calves, though they fit comfortably once they are on. Take the measurements seriously and you'll be happy with your purchase.

Wonderful. I think it would be helpful to list a maximum calf circumference. I have calves from biking and soccer in school, so mine just BARELY didn't fit the base size. The team was understanding and willing to modify my boots, but would have been nice to not have an extra shipping charge. Absolutely love the boots! The -1 star is just because my first outting with them for Halloween, I blistered one of my heel tendons. The leather crease folded and rubbed on the spot the whole day. It might be something to firm up the heal a little higher to avoid that, or maybe it's just me. Thanks!
