Hearthguard recruits begin their training with a foundational kit of tunic, pants, boots, and a belt, choosing neutral colors with accents of red which they can build upon as they add more pieces later on.

A Viking tunic offers a classic silhouette, and the shieldmaiden version provides the same aesthetic with a fit designed to be more comfortable on the female form. Some Hearthguard will layer a short sleeved tunic over a long sleeved to add warmth and dimension.
