The quality of the boot construction is superb. There are a lot of little details that make integrating the boots into a variety of looks easy and convenient. The boots feature a heavy duty metal zipper with a robust pull that isn't overlapped by the edges it is sewn into (a problem that can make the zipper stuck on lower quality boots), the flap that covers the zipper has velcro on the total height of the boot and doesn't taper out (its not a triangle shaped flap that gets wider the further up the boot it goes - this type of feature tends to cause the boot to wear out inordinately fast - which is not a feature on these boots). The velcro is also both glued and stitched, meaning there is support on the velcro flap to ensure it will last a very long time without need for touchups. The soles are much thicker than a lot of other boots on the market and they come with a thicker than average tread, adding to a sense of balance and support in a boot that still looks period appropriate. The boot is also fabric lined with a tight weave fabric meaning the dye from the boot doesn't seep into your socks when you wear them for extended periods of time (and you will because like most well-made leather items, these require breaking in). If you have doubts about the quality or potential longevity of these boots, don't. These boots are a sound investment to compliment a wide range of looks (medieval fantasy or Star Wars Jedi to name a few), will outlast most clothing and will only become more comfortable the more you wear them. Highly recommended and a rare find.
