Tested the waxed cloak out in the rain and had no issues with rain. Note that the material is very stiff. You may want to work it a bit prior to wearing - or just wear it out in the rain doing an activity! Only problem I have is that it is a little too short on me for my preference. I am 6 ft. tall with medium build. Ask the crew for information on the length before you order. I did, but I went with the standard size for some reason - my bad. If anybody orders one too long, let me know - I'll trade!

Not what I expected, I was unaware of how stiff the cloak would be. If you’re looking for something water resistant and durable I would recommend, but otherwise I was unhappy. I’m 6’3 and lift and weights so I had to get the largest size (which was around $330.) wish I would have gotten a linen cloak instead.

What an amazing article of clothing. Have been using it whilst changing my flood irrigations sets and it keeps me dry and warm. I’m a rancher and spend every day outside, this cloak is tough and sheds water and muck like nothing.

I bought a Ranger Cloak as an addition to my rain gear while trail riding horses. I recently did a 45 mile ride in almost continual rain and snow over a two day period. The Cloak kept me dry and surprisingly warm (I think because so much heat coming off the horse was captured.) Very Happy with the purchase. I plan to buy my wife and daughter each a Cloak to keep tied on the back of their saddles too. The cloak roles up much smaller then slicker/dusters and the hood has proven to be a nice addition when riding in bad weather.
