Culture: Based on deadly Viking raiders of the 8th and 9th centuries, the Hearthguard are a close-knit unit of tough shock troops. They rely on close-packed infantry fighting and the shieldwall.

Garments: Their colors are dark red with chocolate brown, gray, and desert tan accents.

Armor: Hearthguard can wear chainmail, lamellar, or brown/tan leather armor, brown leather studded or steel reinforced armor, and padded gambesons.
